A screw is an inclined plane that uses a circular motion to hold objects together, raise, or lower them. Some of the common examples of screws include metal screws, cork openers, drills, and light bulbs.

Inclined planes can be found everywhere, on the streets and inside the home. An inclined plane reduces work by spreading it over a large distance. The beginning and end points of an inclined plane are at different heights.
Some of the common examples of inclined planes include stairways, ramps, pipes found in the bathroom and kitchen, and escalator.
